Charlotte Bridal is a bespoke design studio run by Charlotte Garratt and is based in South London. Charlotte creates bespoke designs for brides using only the finest fabrics and couture techniques. Launched in 2011, Charlotte became one of the youngest independent bridal designers in the UK.
Inspired by memories of her Grandmother creating beautiful dresses whilst sitting at her antique Singer machine, Charlotte chose to follow in her footsteps and after discovering a passion for corsetry at the age of 16, made the decision to attend the London College of Fashion. Building on her initial knowledge of corsetry whilst adding bridal wear and couture tailoring to her list of talents, brides are guaranteed a personalised service from start to finish, with every gown being created in-house at the Charlotte Garratt design studio. From first sketch through cutting the pattern and fabrics, each element is attended to by Charlotte herself, ensuring a truly personal service throughout the exciting journey of bridal couture.
In 2012 Charlotte Bridal won Best Bridal Designer in London at the Wedding Industry Expert Awards, and has grown the business to the point where she is now ready to launch into the luxury bridal market, with an exciting new re-brand under the name Charlotte Garratt, a new website, and the launch of the new Charlotte Garratt 2013 Couture Collection.
On the 20th of March Charlotte Garratt hosted an exclusive press launch event to promote her new rebrand under the name of Charlotte Garratt and to showcase her new 2013 Couture Collection. Held at the luxurious 30 Pavilion Road, a country style townhouse situated in the heart of London’s fashionable Knightsbridge, the event comprised of a fabulous opera performance, professional dance and catwalk show. Following the catwalk show an evening of networking was accompanied by bubbly, macarons and sweet treats. At the end of the evening guests left with a fabulous goody bag full of gifts from the amazing team behind the event.
