White Memoirs Vintage Wedding Fair Returns

White Memoirs Vintage Wedding Fair returns to the historic Stockport Town Hall on Sunday 7th October, 11am til 4pm.

White Memoirs Vintage Wedding Fair is an event created by The Social Buttery Events & PR. The Social Butterfly Events & PR  create events with a difference and also offer event planning services which can be hired to help you organise your own bespoke occasions. With a passion for vintage and supporting local independents, White Memoirs Wedding Fair was born out of the desire to offer something unique to the bridal market in the North of England.
The original fair took place back in February and showcased over 40 independent bridal suppliers from the North West and hosted an amazing ‘Win Your Dream Wedding’ competition worth over £2000.

The October wedding fair looks set to be bigger and better than before, providing a fuller vintage experience for brides. I was lucky to attend the previous one and thoroughly enjoyed it, so I am really excited to see all the new additions  including a Victorian Gin Parlour serving G&T’s in teacups and an exclusive wedding dress catwalk show revealing new collections for Autumn/Winter 2012 from bridal boutique The White Closet.
There is also a very special and unique opportunity for brides to get involved in White Memoirs ‘Bridal Boot Sale’ which will offer brides the chance to sell their pre-owned wedding items such as clothing, accessories and décor from their big day.
One of the ‘Bridal Boot’ tables has recently been snapped up by Manchester’s vintage gurus Matt Nickson and Annabel Holland of Vintage 78 Gramophone DJs who will be celebrating their wedding day on Saturday 22rd September at the stunning Victoria Baths.
White Memoirs is showcasing some never seen before exhibitors including ‘An Era of Experience’ Vintage Hen Parties, a brand new business venture formed by the collaboration of four local bridal businesses. British designer, Silver Sixpence in her Shoe will also be revealing her third bridal accessories collection, ‘Blush’, at the fair.

An Era Of Experience - Vintage Hen Parties

The wedding fair will be hosting over 40 independent bridal suppliers ranging from venue stylists, antique jewellers, vintage hen parties, luxury bridal boutiques, whimsical wedding favours and of course scrumptious cake makers! Entertainment throughout the day will be provided by vintage acts such as Kiki De Ville, Zoe Chiotis newcomer Becki Fishwick.
In addition select exhibitors will also be running interactive craft workshops giving brides-to-be a wonderful opportunity to take home a little memento! Brides-to-be will be given the chance to indulge in a little pampering with vintage styling provided by Bethany Jane Davies of The Vintage Beauty Parlour.

White Memoirs will also be running another exclusive wedding competition with a wedding prize worth over £1000. The lucky bride will be announced at the fair. The first 50 brides that register for the fair will also receive a free goody bag filled with promotional offer and gifts from White Memoirs exhibitors.

Stockport Town Hall is the perfect setting for the event and is a unique and historical venue known affectionately as “The Wedding Cake” due to its white facade and its beautifully designed tiered clock tower, crowning the entrance way to this Grade 2 listed building.
